About

Born in India and educated in England, Riddhi Jani possesses a blend of international experience and professional excellence. Ms. Jani’s practice includes representing foreign individuals and American corporations in many diverse aspects of immigration law, including foreign investments in the United States, multinational executives, outstanding researcher petitions, National Interest Waivers, family-based and same-sex spouse petitions and cases involving domestic violence.  Moreover, she spent many years defending foreign nationals during removal defense hearings, and Appeals in the Fourth, Seventh, Eighth and Ninth Circuit Courts of Appeal, and litigating controversial cases against the Federal Government in district courts. In addition, Ms. Jani has significant government experience through her six years as an Assistant Attorney General with the Office of the Attorney General for the State of Minnesota. As Manager of the State’s Antitrust Division, Ms. Jani handled multistate cases involving multimillion dollar settlements. She has also prosecuted environmental polluters on behalf of the State. Ms. Jani appreciates the issues that many foreign students face, having addressed them herself during the 1990’s, and having counselled foreign students during her appointment as Director of International and Graduate Programs at the University of Minnesota Law School.
